Welcome to the Wide World of 90s Sports Movies. Baseball is the national pastime, and Underwhelming sequels are my passion. Let’s grab a mit, big league chew, and some eyeblack, and revisit Major League 2. Released in the Spring of 1994, this sequel attempted to capitalize on the Successful and Fan-favorite Major League from 1989. Same team, same city, but with new faces and a tamer “PG” rating. Did those latter steps help or hurt the franchise? All this, and a discussion about Baseball movies from the late ’80s and early ’90s and where they are today. Just unpause after the WB logo fades to black…Sox.
