Low Charisma Party’s first outing is very good, if a bit fannish. But if you’re going to gush over a movie, this ain’t a bad choice. They discuss the writing, acting, and direction, and analyze the plot structure rather nicely. There’s a digression about Will Wheaton and Harrison Ford (as compared to Michael J Fox) that kind of goes nowhere. But for the most part, it’s a smart and fairly funny look at classic that is (whether they know it or not) a tough film to commentate on.

There’s a very, very funny bit around 1:35:00 where they suggest multiple trips….

Theoretically, the Doc could be like, ‘Let’s send you back to when you first arrived and try it again better.’ [laughter] ‘Only don’t run into yourself! [pause] Oh Jesus! … There’s 35 McFlys runnin’ around!’ … 15 Martys and 10 [Georges]. … Sometimes George McFly goes back with him. An army of McFlys… ‘Cause he has to bring him back again ’cause he f***ed up one time. He killed him once! [laughter] He killed him once! [as Doc] ‘Travel to 1950 and get a younger George—’ And two Lorraines, ’cause he accidentally got one pregnant. [laughter] Oh god! I went there! [laughter]
