Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, directed by Gore Verbinski and starring Johnny Depp, Kiera Knightly, Orlando Bloom and *spoiler warning!* Geoffrey Rush, is the second part of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilog–er, tetralogy.

Join Cara and Anna Cunningham without their younger brother John *shoves John away from keyboard* on an adventure to a fictitious past in a magical land where the main characters can’t seem to bring themselves to deplete their life force, despite the fact that plenty of lesser characters are dropping like flies (actually, more like ‘rain’) all around them. It would seem even the series itself is unable to die, as it has been known that a fourth installment has been slated for release in 2011. I heard the movie is supposed to be about how Jack, Elizabeth, and Will find the Fountain of Youth and become immortal. Then, the movie cuts to present-day America where Jack, Will, and Elizabeth don false identities and enter the Hollywood scene. Jack scores a few supporting roles in horror films before meeting Tim Burton, Will lands a role as an elf in a movie about a book series that should have been made into a major motion picture much sooner than it was, and Elizabeth portrayed Robin Hood’s daughter in a made-for-television movie. Then the trio meet up again at the end of the film to make a movie under Walt Disney supposedly based on a theme park ride but is really about their adventures as pirates hundreds of years ago.

EDIT: Those who do not value the truth will not care about this edit; this edit is for the rest of us. The above paragraph should start with “Join Anna and Cara Cunningham blah, blah, blah, etc.” as a homage to the Great Alphabet and its Order. Furthermore, Anna was the one who thought up most of the jokes; but in the spirit of equality, Anna let Cara say a good many of them. So, her name should go first.

SECOND EDIT: This is a response to the first edit. First, I want it to be known that I am a big fan of orders, and I wish all names in the world to be listed in an order of some sort. But the order of names that I chose to use in the original document was chronological, and as Cara is the eldest of the two sisters, her name has the right to be listed first. Second, though it may be true that Anna came up with most of the jokes and let Cara say a few of them, it was Cara who came up with the funniest jokes.

THIRD EDIT: This is a response to the second edit. First, the order that should be honored is the alphabetical order. Second, there is no proof that Cara’s jokes are funniest. Even if Mike Nelson himself said everything Cara wrote was funniest, there still would be no real proof because the amount of humor in any group of words is a matter of opinion. Of course, Mike Nelson would never say that, and the same goes for Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy.
