Long-planned and now included here as part of the “Tokusatsu Takedown” season, Timey enlists the aid of Paul “Xtroguyver” Roberts, Simon Skey and the Sugar Bear Logan Blaze as they start a new subseries devoted to the Guyver franchise with this 2-part podcast.

Unfortunately, 2012 has been the years of delayed and limited content rather than a year of evolving techniques, as we had hoped it to be. Due to various life events with both of the Two Assholes, recording episodes has become increasingly difficult, even after we had figured out how we could accomplish it without being in the same physical location. This led to a lack of content, and the failure of some plans which we had previously developed.

However, we have both reaffirmed our commitment to this podcast (primarily because we just like doing it so damn much), and resolved to deliver far more content in 2013, including both podcast episodes and more Mystery Asshole Theatre episodes (including another lofty project, which we will discuss once we have confirmed further details). In order to start it off with a bang, however, we have to clear out the back catalogue, and provide you with the final two parts of the Star Wars spectacular. Hopefully, you will consider these episodes to have been worth the wait. I can’t really say whether they should be or not, because the last two movies were kind of a blur. We hit the sauce pretty hard to make up for our sobriety through the first three films.

We do our take on the movie that started it al, A New Hope! Also known as just plain Star Wars, we hang out with you the listener as we coment on the DVD. Used is the most recent version of the movies, but not the 1977 DVD re-release, because we assume more people have this version than the 1977 version. Enjoy!

Once more, I have to apologize for the delay in posting this. There have been a number of delays to this show, and I’m working to deal with those as quickly as possible. My professional life has been rather eating into this, but bear with me a bit longer.

Myself and the other Asshole, Brent, did actually manage to record another episode of the podcast (after several attempts, due to technical difficulties) which is proving difficult to edit due to a number of completely unrelated technical difficulties. The editing process on these episodes is not normally very meticulous, but this one has rather required it to be.

In the meantime, I have drunken banter between the Two Assholes and various Guestholes, as the proverbial lock was removed from the liquor cabinet on this episode, which was very much needed and deserved after watching the first 3 episodes. I think we may have actually stayed sober long enough to discuss the film, but the evening is kind of a haze.
