RFS gets back to commentaries with the season 6 starter after having seen the whole season. There's a fair amount of fluff, but the "sock it to me" discussion is hilarious. SS Minnow. The pictures on the table behind Nixon's desk are photos of the real Nixon (it's relatively easy to see on the Blu-ray). Nixon did indeed not meet with Elvis until 1970.

RFS finishes off season 5. Fine work, altho there is not much analysis.

Rory travels with the Pandorica by being the famous Roman soldier who has lived for thousands of years and guards it. The museum exhibit specifically mentions him. He’s not incognito until the modern day.

The Pandorica light isn’t deus ex machina because it doesn’t fix things at the end. It’s the central conceit—the thing without believing in which you can’t accept the very premise of the story. You’re free to not buy it if you like, but it’s the entry, not the exit, so it’s “fair”.

RFS watches the return of the weeping angels… and watches… and watches. They frequently get lost in the ep and go silent.

They adore the episode way more than it deserves. Yes, it has taut direction, but the weeping angels are used totally differently from the ep where they were introduced. And River Song is really annoying here, endlessly teasing the Doctor for no reason (he saved her life!), whereas in the Library, she seemed quite sweet toward him.

At 1:25:00, Warren is killed by a weeping angel and has his cerebral cortex stripped, resulting in his/the angel’s saying that Kill Bill is a terrible film. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

RFS gets their hands dirty on the first part of a middling two-parter. I'm pretty sure there was no NYC newspaper called The Record. They may be thinking of the Times being called the "newspaper of record" (meaning that legal notices get published there). By the way, if you freeze-frame, you get a good look at the typo "citiy" in the subhead. Hoovervilles were pretty damn big. There's a really funny conversation comparing the episode to a visit to the doctor.

Why aren't they prepared already? Why are they sitting around? 'Let's bring him down here and have him wait for 20 minutes.' It's not like you have anything else to do. ... It's like when you go to the doctor's and you sit down, and there's a really good issue of Time magazine right there in the waiting room. And you say, 'Great! I'll probably wait a couple, 20 minutes. I'll have a read here.' And they take you away after 5 minutes, and you're half-way thru this article. And they put you in another waiting room with no magazines. Yes. And some boring poster about nutrition. Yeah. And that's what's happening right now. We're watching a boring poster about nutrition.

RFS takes on the Monster of Peladon… and wins! Very funny dismantling the Pertwee tale. They mock the costumes, the sets, the hair, and Alpha Centauri. They discuss Hurricane Katrina and Spike Lee. And they posit the theory that the characters are psychedelic drug smugglers. And they try to offend lesbians and religious types. All that and a Joe Pesci impression!

Part two features a bit more of everything, plus a discussion of the Grass Valley Switcher used by television technicians and Death Star pilots and a mocking of Ruprecht the “special needs” ice warrior.
