Very good work from MMM on the Spielberg/Cruise team up. A bit of background and quite a bit of analysis, but mostly humorous observation. Quite a bit of mike breathing at times.

In the US, "carousel" and "merry-go-round" both refer to the carnival ride with horses and such, whereas a simple little metal one is always called a "merry-go-round".

"I don't think even in 50 years people are going to trust cars to drive themselves." Oh really?

Lamar isn't lucky that Agatha was captured. If she hadn't been abducted, he never would have been find out by Danny.

The tacked-on Hollywood ending is a rather crass sleight-of-hand. When John goes into prison, the jailer says "I've heard you dream that all your dreams come true." Everything from then on can be read as a fantasy in John's imprisoned mind, much like Total Recall.

Speakeasy takes Dredd apart. They love the comic book and feel terribly abused by the film, so they fight back the only way they know how. A lot of fun. Happy birthday, Lynch!

Fine team-up between the Doctor and the Denim Cowboy for a fun film. There's good background and humor. They're using Skype, and the audio goes crazy for several seconds around 9m 30s and again at 11m. There's a fair amount of talking-over.

I think Queen was doing the film a favor. They were literally at their peak in 1980, releasing some of their biggest hits at almost the same time as the movie.

The Doctor doesn't recognize the great William Hootkins as Zarkov's assistant. The Denim Cowboy contributes frequently to a swear jar, which is pretty funny in itself. Like all Brits, they lapse into Doctor Who discussion from time to time. At one point, Denim Cowboy has a sudden brain aneurysm and claims that English rugby players would kick American football players' asses. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The guy who is supposed to fall on his own sword is George Harris, who was the ship captain in Raiders of the Lost Ark. More recently, he had a small part in HP & Order of the Phoenix.
