This was one of my first commentaries. I’ll admit it wasn’t a good one. But one day I’ll do a better one. But since then, I’ve gotten better. Perhaps you could check out my Pete’s Dragon or The Haunted Mansion commentaries. I did a better job with those than with Darby O’Gill.

I like Friday the 13th Part 6 too and it does feature Harry Manfredini’s best score as a composer. I like part 2 for what it is…being a Jason movie without a hockey mask. Part 3 is a classic, but I wish someone would do a commentary for part 3 and dedicate it to Richard Brooker (who played Jason in part 3 and died a month ago). I would have done it myself, but I already did two commentaries on that movie and I’m not sure if you could post more than 2 commentaries on the same movie. My tribute to Richard Brooker is in the second Jason X commentary. Right now The Great Outdoors is my second favorite John Candy film with Spaceballs right behind it. I will check out Planes, Trains, and Automobiles one day.

The one scene I found funny in The Great Outdoors was when Candy had the bears on the roof of his car, other than that it felt like a lazy stop gap between Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Uncle Buck for John Hughes and John Candy looked bored. Dan Ackroyd had absolutely nothing to work with and the romance between John Candys son and the local girl added absolutely nothing to the movie. You really need to see Planes Trains and Automobiles by the way it’s truly hilarious and for my money has John Candys best performance. As for Friday the 13th, I quite like Part 8 but my personal favourite is Part 6. I’d probably have Part 2 second and Part 3 third.

Sorry, but I’ve never seen Planes, Trains, and Automobiles so I can’t say anything about it good or bad. I’ve seen Summer Rental once, but I need to see it again to get a better opinion of it. One other thing: I’m also the same guy that ranks Return of the Jedi as the best Star Wars movie, then Star Wars, and then Empire Strikes Back along with Friday the 13th Part 8 being the best followed by part 10 and part 3. Once in awhile we need someone that sticks out like a sore thumb. With the Great Outdoors, what more do you need like John Candy eating a huge steak, a bear getting shot in the rear end, or John Candy doing some water skiing? Granted I’m not a huge fan of the twin sisters, but other than that it is a good John Candy film.

Can’t believe you rank this as your second favourite John Candy Film after Uncle Buck. Planes Trains and Automobiles and Summer Rental are so much better. This film is awful and I’m a huge Candy, Ackroyd and John Hughes fan.

You’re welcome. As tribute to Richard Brooker, I did a Jason X commentary; although Richard was in part 3 and not part 10. In a way, Richard’s death does tie in to Jason because he died on Kane Hodder’s birthday, who played Jason in Jason X. I thought it was a good idea to dedicate a commentary in Richard’s memory. I’m hoping someone comes along and does a commentary for part 3 and does it in his memory.

I just wanted to say that on April 8th, 2013, actor Richard Brooker (Jason Voorhees) passed away. I hope someone does a commentary in his memory.

I want to congratulate Filmbins for doing a commentary on this movie. It’s nice to know that this movie isn’t going unnoticed while the Oz the Great and Powerful is out on the big screen. However, synchronization is an issue; probably the region 2 DVD whereas I used the region 1 DVD. But all in all, it was a great commentary. However, since the time I recorded the commentary, I need to note that the actor playing the doctor and Nome King passed away. That fact wasn’t mentioned in either commentary.

Good background and plenty of enthusiasm for a film Bradley obviously loves. Lots of narrating and talking to the characters, tho. The sound of the movie is up a bit too high. It’s almost a co-commentary with John Williams.

And perhaps a LITTLE preoccupied with Marion’s underwear.

That’s okay, I’ve listened to some of them myself and they’re not that good. But as I made commentary after commentary, I think I got better. I listened to my Nightmare 7 commentary and it wasn’t that good. It was one of the first ones I’ve done. And that’s why I did a second commentary on the movie. And in some cases, I’ve commented on movies nobody is wanting to do. Nightmare 7 is an example along with Psychos 3-Remake, Child’s Play 2-5, and Return of Swamp Thing.

If there is a movie you have in mind, please let me know. That way I’ll have an idea of what movie to talk about.

No, I wasn’t drinking, but I should have when I was commenting on Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies. Sometimes I do have trouble speaking, but that’s because of autism. These commentaries are an exercise to me. And also, nobody is talking about Halloween 4, 5, 8, Friday the 13th part 12 (Reboot), Nightmare on Elm Street 4, 6, and 7; Child’s Play 2-5, and Psychos 2-5 (including the remake). If nobody is talking about these movies, I will. But I did my best on these commentaries, it’s just that some of the movies I commented on are more difficult to comment on, including The Dark Knight commentary I did today. But there are some commentaries that are completely off topic and horrible.

I don’t mean to sound like a douche but… are Bradley’s commentaries any good? Did anyone listen to any of them? I tried to do it but I couldn’t get past his voice (no offence, Bradley, but are you drunk while recording?).
