Brian does make the point that the government would never hurt Kee. They would just tell her not to talk about the fact that she’s a refugee. But that would come out anyway, since the government could never keep a baby under wraps and the news media would be all over her backstory.

Plus, why does the government hate refugees so much and condone suicide? The population must be plummeting. The UK (death rate of 9.9/1000) would need 600,000 immigrants a year just to stop today’s population decline. With people killing each other in the streets and committing suicide left and right, the decline would be even worse.
